How to improve the survival rate of brooding in chicken house

Chicks grow faster and metabolism is very fast, but the body temperature regulation ability is poor, so it is necessary to strengthen feeding management to improve the survival rate of chicks.

1. Buying good quality chicks is not too much pressure to raise, so it is better to feed

2. Wash the walls, roof and ground of the house. The brooding cage ensures that there are no chicken feathers, chicken manure, and the drinking fountain and trough are soaked with disinfectant.

3. Strengthen feeding management. The temperature in the cone is generally maintained at 33-35 °C, and then decreased by 2–3 °C every week until the chicks can adapt to the ambient temperature. Chicks with low temperature are susceptible to colds, diarrhea, salmonellosis, ascites, white diarrhea, etc.; too high is easy to cause dehydration, loss of appetite, and increased drinking water. Humidity is generally between 70% and 75% within the first 10 days of introduction. Clean, hygienic drinking water must be provided and water should not be cut off. The chicks are usually fed with water for 2 to 3 hours, and then fed with chicken feed. 60%-70% of chicks eat after eating

Good light in chicken house can greatly promote chicken growth.

4, heat preservation and ventilation, although the chicks are small, but the metabolism is strong, easy to make the air contaminated. If not discharged in time, the concentration of these harmful gases increases, which can easily cause respiratory diseases and other diseases.

5, timely cleaning of the tray and chicken manure, suitable light can promote the feeding of chicks, is conducive to its growth and development, generally ensure the 24 h light in the first 10 days, and then reduce by 1 h every day until the natural light is restored. Reasonable density can ensure the health of the flock and good growth and development. If the density is large, the air in the house is turbid, the ammonia smell is large, the humidity is large, the hygiene is poor; the density is too small, the equipment is wasted, and it is not economical.

6, do a good job in epidemic prevention and daily disinfection, usually observe the chickens carefully, should always check the mental condition of the chicks, feeding, drinking water, defecation and so on. In the evening, it is necessary to strengthen the on-duty inspection of the chicken house. Once problems are found, they should be dealt with in a timely manner in automatic poultry farming .
